Hi Gail, Omar's not gone. In fact, I have an solid idea for several more, including one in which he comes to Jerusalem and for the first time really will engage with Israelis. The theme that connects the books I'm working on right now is this: a historical mystery surrounding the suspicious demise of a real artist. Mozart thought he had been poisoned; Caravaggio simply disappeared. I'm glad you like Omar!

Will the new novels have a connecting theme? I'm having a senior moment and the word is right there but just out of reach. Argghh. Or will they be stand alone works? Will we ever see Omar again? Such an improbable sleuth and able ro see both sides of the story.
