hi Gail, It’s nearly 40 degrees in Jerusalem today. I really can’t imagine ever putting something like drapes on the windows; in fact, I dream of the kind of day when one pulls the drapes on a cold, wet night and cozies down before a fire… It makes me sweat just to type. So I’d better stop. M

I think the desire to know what your friends are doing every single moment must be the province of the young. There is a commercial here in the US for some kind of fancy phone that gets Twitter, Facebook and My Space. the fellow on the screen looks like a news reader and looks at his phone and says, “This just in: the search is on for cute boots.” Aiiee. I don’t want to know what my friends do every moment and as I am currently uninteresting, they would not want to here hourly updates from me either.

I’m happy your foray into lone redecorating territory was negotiated successfully. Perhaps new draperies will be next?
