"Collaborator" nominated for Quill Award

My debut novel The Collaborator of Bethlehem has been shortlisted for this year’s Quill Award in the Mystery/Suspense category. My book is nominated alongside four others, including Michael Connelly’s latest, competing for a prize that was won last year by Janet Evanovitch. It’s thrilling to get this kind of recognition and to note that, while the other four contenders were all produced by publishers that could be characterized as anywhere between “quite large” to “absolutely megasized”, my book was published by Soho Press, a small press. The full list of nominees is at:

Here’s how the website for The Quills describes the awards: “The Quill Awards are the only book awards to pair a populist sensibility with Hollywood-style glitz. They are the first literary prizes to reflect the tastes of all the groups that matter most in publishing— readers, booksellers and librarians.”
